A Saint Should Not Only Be A Bernard

The first evidence that Saint Bernards were in use at the monastery is in two paintings dating to 1690 by Italian artist Salvator Rosa. The most famous Saint Bernard to save people at the pass was Barry (sometimes spelled Berry), who reportedly saved somewhere between 40 and 100 lives.

Sisters Serving From Their Hearts

On November 18, 1982, five sisters-in-Christ from two congregations in Montgomery, Alabama met to organize a city-wide sisters’ benevolence group. In their initial meeting they pledged to put forth efforts to gain membership and support throughout the sisterhood and brotherhood.
