“Fridays are special because they were made for you to reflect on the good things God has done in your life during the week. Cheers to the troubles we overcame and the ones we will encounter ahead. Have a blessed weekend!” – Unknown

Sister G. Dickerson is another Woods’ family spiritual mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I saw Spiritual Mother Dickerson in 2008 at an event and immediately noticed her mannerism and attentiveness. My husband knew the Dickersons years before he moved to Montgomery, Alabama. He said she was always that way.
She represents 1 Peter 3:1-2 “It should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. For that is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves.”
We finally talked and she wasted no time sharing her words of wisdom on the importance of being a wife of a minister. Unbeknownst to us, years later, my husband became the minister at the same congregation her husband, Minister Dickerson, preached over twenty years.
Divine intervention was in the midst of me being drawn to a seasoned minister’s wife. The rest is history and Sister D is embedded in my heart and in our lives forever. God blessed me beyond measures!

The floral arrangement above was delivered to Sister D on Mother’s Day 2022, the day the world celebrated mothers. However, mothers, rather biological or spiritual, should be honored daily. I share because it is not the one I ordered. Red is her favorite color, but I could not find anything online other than roses.
Soon after I placed the order, I received an e-mail from the floral shop stating an upgrade at no additional cost was being delivered.
I did not see the arrangement until Brother Dickerson sent me photos. You can imagine the expression on my face and the joy in my heart seeing “RED.” It reminded me God sent His upgrade by allowing His Son’s Red blood to drip down a cross for the remission of our sin.

Conclusion
As you can see Brother Dickerson took pieces from the arrangement and planted them in their front year. They are beautiful and healthy, such as our soul should be when we as broken people are planted in God’s word.
Beautiful! Isn’t God so good to bring special people into our lives?
Have a blessed weekend and mother’s day!!

Such a beautiful post! I remember one time a group of us at church were trying to get to know each better during a retreat, so we played a game. The game was to guess facts about each. One of the facts we tried to guess was what each of us wanted most. One person guessed that I wanted to be the wife of a pastor.
