Tuesday Tea Time with A Twist

“There is something in the nature of tea that leads us into a world of quiet contemplation of life.” – Lin Yutang, The Importance of Living

What is the story behind lilies?

“The name lily comes from the Latin word for this type of flower, “lilium.” The flowers represent purity, innocence and rebirth: in religious iconography, they often represent the Virgin Mary, and are also often depicted at the Resurrection of Christ.”

Photos are from Sister S. Dickerson, one of the seasoned sisters I purchased lilies for about a year ago. We should show our love and appreciation for people when they can see and appreciate their gifts.

Sister Dickerson has done an amazing job caring for her lily, and I smile hearing the joy in her voice and seeing it on her face each time she talks about her lovely and well cared for flower, a lily in her own field.

God allowed a new beautiful life through the caring hands of Sister S. Dickerson. In like manner, our conversion to Christianity should be as beautiful as lilies in a field.

Conclusion

Everyone, relax and sip a cup of Tuesday tea with a twist of lilies, all but big Brothers Matt and Herb who will join us with coffee.
