We Are the Church, The Building is Not!

We are not all brothers and sisters-in-Christ. However, we are brothers and sisters through the same bloodline of Adam, and the blood of Jesus should be enough for us to love one another. –Tangie T. Woods (Romans 5:12-21 and Acts 17:26-34).

No everyone is a Christians and some who identify as Christians are not converted. What?! How dare I make such a statement?

Jesus said to one of his apostles, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fails not; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren” (Luke 22:32-34).

Many has allowed Satan to sift them away from the Lord and His Body to return to the world like Brother Demas (2 Timothy 4:9-10). In 2 Peter 2:21-22 we read “It would have been better for them not to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.”

Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.” The father of lies enticed them with the different flavors of the world which influenced them to be drawn away by their own lusts (John 8:44-47; James 1:13-14).

If everyone was converted, why written in Matthew 7:13-29 “Watch out for false prophets who come in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them.”

Perhaps we forget Satan has a seat in worship services to ensure his puppets that he plays like a fiddle are conquering Christians and dividing the Lord’s Body. “Not everyone who says Lord, Lord will enter into the kingdom of Heaven, instead will hear “I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:15-29).

Some do not understand that not all congregations are authorized by God, and He cannot be worshiped in the Spirit and in Truth if we are in misalignment with the Scriptures. “Wherefore we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear; For our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:29).

My Personal Observation

Demonic forces are no longer creeping into congregations but walking in with open arms and dividing the Lord’s Body. Sadly, it appears anything goes while members sit idle too afraid to speak God’s truth in love. I remember in Alabama there was one congregation that split into two making three congregations on the same street in walking distance from one another. How could they not understand their worship was in vain since they left with animosity without attempts to Scripturally reconcile.

Another example was before I met the minister who is now my husband visited a congregation and saw another man visiting as well. After several visits he told members something was not right with the man, but no one listened. Not long after my husband stopped visiting, members called him to mediate–the stranger was allowed to split the congregation. The only one happy was Satan in disguise and enjoying the vain worship service.

A third example is members wanting their minister to leave but he refused. They fought in the building yard and the police had to come. Shameful! Again, not all congregations are authorized by God and not all men are called; they like so-called “power” and “prestige” where there is none. God is the head! Jesus has all authority not man.

Additional Scriptures

“These people come near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught” (Isaiah 29:13).

“‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules” (Matthew 15:8-9; Mark 7:7-9).

“Submit yourselves therefore to God,” and “resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).

“There hath no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (1 Corinthians 10:13).”

  1. “Some do not understand that not all congregations are authorized by God, and He cannot be worshiped in the Spirit and in Truth if we are in misalignment with the Scriptures.” Amen.
