“I ain’t got no heart to go and see the sufferings of my people played on the stage. I’ve heard ‘Uncle Tom’s Cabin’ read, and I tell you Mrs. Stowe’s pen hasn’t begun to paint what slavery is as I have seen it at the far South. I’ve seen the real thing, and I don’t want to see it on no stage or in no theater.” — Harriett Tubman

I share Black History, so it does not remain a mystery.
I know this is disturbing, but the truth must be told,
If we do not share it, it will not be told in whole.
Our history is not to be chewed into small bits and pieces,
We are human and yet the hatred never ceases.
Our ancestors were treated like animals to be tame,
And today, some still want to treat us like wild game.
I am told to forget events that happened in the past,
But others do not realize in our minds it still last.
Rather owners were Black or White, none of it was right.
I share Black History not for the innocent to be shame,
Our God will judge those He blame.

If a person is not corrected in wrong doing they will continue to do wrong. If a person does not know the truth about their history, they will continue to believe a lie!
Let freedom ring!
The truth will set you free!!

Truth is so important. Perhaps if Black Americans knew the truth of our history, there would not be so much Black-on-Black crimes. Thank you for reading and commenting.
