When God Speaks, Do We Listen?

Do we listen to what we think is right in our own mind, or are we listening to God and following Jesus? Be mindful that only God decides who inherits eternal life, or eternal damnation.

“My sheep hear My voice, and know them, and they follow Me; And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and the Father are One.” (John 10:27-30)

  1. Actually God wants all to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4) and to repent (2 Peter 3:9).
God doesn’t choose who to save and who to condemn to hell. We make that choice ourselves based on whether we’ll obey the Gospel or not.

    1. I concur “God does not choose who to save and who to condemn to hell. We make that choice alone based on whether we’ll obey His Word or not.” The question is when God speaks do we listen and obey. As free moral agents you are definitely right, we choose to obey His word and follow His Plan of Salvation or harden our hearts; either way, the eternal consequence is Hell or Heaven. Romans 1:20-21 “….so that they [we] are without excuse.
