Drum majors are responsible, reliable and dedicated to having the band succeed.

They set standards for discipline, bearing and conduct for band members, proper rehearsal formation, warm-up exercises and leading in performances.
Drug majors signal percussion section to roll-off and play during parades and other performances. They act as band’s representatives at award ceremonies and special functions.
They have great understanding of the music being performed and are skilled as field conductors which include high level skills with a baton and exceptional marching techniques with vocal commands that are easily understood.
They have the abilities to inspire the band in performance and assist directors in organizational and administrative tasks. We see much preparation for readiness to perform their required duties. Are we putting much preparation for readiness to audaciously teach the Doctrine of Jesus, so God’s commandments are easily understood?

Are we marching publicly in the Gospel of Christ with readiness to perform our spiritual duties? Are we loudly vocalizing His Doctrine to be easily understood?
Do we publicly carrying out biblical instructions of God who has directed us how to get from earth to glory with His Plan of Salvation?
Are we going through spiritual warm up exercises such as Bible study, meditation and prayer, or still warming up?
Do our words, actions and behaviors easily identify us as followers of Christ, or must we wear tags to identify us as followers of Christ.

Questions To Ponder
Do we have a high level of biblical knowledge, wisdom, skills and abilities as spiritual voice majors for Christ? Are we dedicated to helping others succeed in becoming spiritual voice majors for Christ?
Are we turning our heads to God and are focused as His chosen instruments to carry out biblical instructions to the world?

Jamilah, thank you for reading and commenting, self-examination 2 Corinthians 13:5. Agree, self-examination is crucial for ambassadors of Christ. “Ambassadors” is a great term to use. Have a wonderful day.

Right on! In the words of Sabine Baring-Gould: Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before; Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe; forward into battle, see His banners go. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.

Thank you for sharing, Doug. “Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.” Being of this world as Christians we must continue marching, fighting and standing firm in the war for our souls.
