Only You, God, Only You…

I don’t know. Only God knows where the story ends for me, but I know where the story begins. It’s up to us to choose, whether we win or lose, and I choose to win. — Mary J. Blige

While waiting in my car last Friday for the urologist office to open, I felt sadness until receiving Spiritual Mother Copeland’s text below.

“Faith doesn’t always take you out of the problem, Faith takes you through the problem. Faith doesn’t always take away the pain, Faith gives you the ability to handle the pain. Faith doesn’t always take you out of the storm, Faith calms you in the midst of the storm.” Amen.

My visit to the urologist was for an enlarged bladder and Hematuria.

I have Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 2, so the urologist and my nephrologist coordinated tests and protocol for the use of contrast.

My nephrologist informed me there is a small risk of kidneys injury from instruments being used by the urologist and/or disease progression from the use of contrast. I am thanking God in advance for guiding the hands of my health care team.

My nephrologist is mailing me his protocol to follow explicitly in an effort to protect my kidneys. Only You, God! “

Another text of encouragement received on the same day was from Registered Nurse Patricia Thomas, a sister-in-Christ whose daughter, Giselle, worships with us.

Sister Thomas texted “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). Amen, I believe it.
