Finding Truth in a Judgmental World of Lies

“You’re going to come across people in your life who will say all the right words at all the right times. But in the end, it’s always their actions you should judge them by. It’s actions, not words, that matter.” ― Nicholas Sparks

My husband was reading news about a man discovering his trusted accountants had stolen millions from his retirement account leaving a balance of $2,000. The man asked, “In a world full of lies where do you find truth?”

The action of the accountant showed his client and the world that he serves Satan with lies through deception. Do our actions show the truth about us worshiping and serving God, the Father of Truth; or Satan, the father of lies? God will Judge!

Where can we find Truth in a world full of lies, he asked? The Bible holds God’s Truth. In Hosea 6:3 we read “Let us acknowledge the Lord, let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” This is a simple way we can live and share God’s Truth in a judgmental and lying world.

Prayer from Sister Carma D reads “‘May God remove every hindrance that keeps you from knowing His love in a way that changes you. May He change every circumstance that sends a lying message to you. May He highlight every trial He’s using to train you into a warrior.

And may He remind you that all of Heaven is on your side. You are very close to His heart. Keep shining, Keep smiling. Don’t lose faith and Don’t lose Heart, never allow things [people] to dim the light shining within, Remember You are a child of God.'”

It comes a time when we must achieve spiritual maturity in Truth for others to see Jesus’ reflection within us. Do our actions align with God’s Truth or Satan’s lies?

  1. Hi Tangie,
I am going to continue to use prayer as the source
Matthew (26:41) and God will reveal those to me protect and shield me from my enemies.
Matthew (7:15-16) You will know them by their fruits.

    1. Good morning, Pam, agree. God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, God’s Word and prayers through our mediator to God are the only sources required to survive in a judgmental world of lies, destructions and all the evil that Satan influences people use to do his bidding. Thank you for sharing your comments and enjoy your day.

  2. Thank you, Tangie, for this thoughtful post about truth! I pray that my actions show evidence of God! I’ve had moments when I know they didn’t~we serve such a graceful Savior when we repent and allow truth to guide our actions. As I praised him this morning and went into prayer, I said words for you, my friend. This world is definitely filled with lies and evil; may we continue our race with our confidence in Christ that rises above the muck and holds us high! Sending you love, hugs, and prayers for a blessed day and times of peace, health, and happiness, Tangie. Love, Karla
