Busybodies

We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies (2 Thessalonians 3:11)

Definition of a busybody is a meddler who meddles in the affairs of others making them too busy to handle their own affairs.

Prior to Covid, I knew where my spiritual skills, knowledge and abilities would best be utilized after coordinating a ladies’ day program, monthly ladies Bible studies and luncheons in different cities with participants of all ages to bridge the generation gap.

I also coordinated the first “Real Talk” program featuring youth and young sisters as event speakers, teachers, poems reading, etc. They also led question and answer sessions for young women. I was positive this is where I can utilize my skills.

I sent questions and surveys to young sisters who will be working with me on spiritual endeavors. Sadly, the majority returned stated they need trustworthy sisters to confide in without info sharing.

Conclusion

Satan has many bitter flavors in the world that he sweetens to easily appeal to the youth and young adults. These are the forsaken sisters as some of them stated. If we do not offer them anything, the world will sweeten its flavors to draw more of them away from the Lord’s Body while we are being busybodies.

We must not let our worship to God be in vain. Therefore, from the mouth of Jesus as a youth “I must be about my Father’s business.” We should too!
