Are We Genuinely One in the Spirit?

“To care about your outward appearance is important, but what’s more important is to have a beautiful soul.” ―Roy T. Bennett

“‘My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message that all of them may be one. Father, just as You are in Me, and I Am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me.’

‘I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one, I in them and You in Me, so that they may be brought to complete Unity. Then the world will know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me.’

‘Father, I want those you have given Me to be with Me where I am, and to see My glory, the glory you have given Me because You loved Me before the creation of the world. Righteous Father, though the world does not know You, I know You and they know that You have sent Me.’

‘I have made You known to them and will continue to make You known in order that the love You have for Me may be in them and that I Myself may be in them'” (John 17:20-26).

Scriptural Reference

“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.’

‘This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world'” (1 John 4:1-4).

We must examine ourselves and ask are we truly one in the Spirit of God? Does the world know we are Christians by our love? Have we displeased God before the world to hear “And I thought you were a Christian?”

If there is disunity in the Body of Christ what actions are being taken to restore genuine love for one another? The world will only know us by our love for one another and for God through our obedience to Him!

    1. Hello Donna, in a world gone wild we must boldly tell the truth from God’s word regardless of people’s feelings–souls are at stake. Our just God is making sure everyone hears the gospel before the second coming of His Son, this takes away excuse when we bowed before God on the Judgment Day. Everyone will be without excuse.
