Who Are You Worshiping?

“God is Spirit and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in Truth.” The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When He comes, He will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus declared, “I, the One speaking to you–I am He.” (John 4:24-26)

“Never forget how far you’ve come. All the times you pushed on even when you felt you couldn’t. All the mornings you got out of bed no matter how hard it was. Al the times you wanted to give up but fought through another day. Never forget the strength you’ve gained along the way.” — Di Riseberough, Find Your Courage, Intuitive Life Strategist

Final Thought

There have been times I woke up in excruciating pain like this morning with back pain. There have been times my legs and feet hurt so bad it determined how I walked even to the point of limping. There have been times my neck and shoulder spasms stopped me from moving. There have been times various areas of my body competed with one another to see which could cause the most pain.

There have been a few times I thought about staying home in bed on Sunday mornings when pain was unbearable but that thought quickly vanished. God sustained my life throughout the night. My allegiance is to Him, and I will be where He instructed me to be collectively worshiping Him with saints.

There are many extenuating circumstances preventing others from collectively worshiping in the building but are faithful online listeners to their ministers’ sermons and Bible study lessons.

  1. I thank God for the online services for those who cannot make it to church, but I grieve for so many who simply have forsaken gathering in God’s house. At 74 sometimes my aches and pains make me think of staying home but there is something encouraging about being with other believers that you cannot get from a TV program.

    1. Amen. I also grieve for so many who simply have forsaken gathering in God’s house and have returned to the world like Brother Demas and so many others known and unknown.

  2. I can relate! There are some Sundays I want to stay in bed and just rest but when you get up and hear thee word you feel so much better. I hope you aren’t having any pains today.
