Keep Your Demons On A Spiritual Leash, The Bible

“And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling–these He has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.” (Jude 1:6)

Do you believe demons exist? We will explore the word of God in Revelation 12:9, which indicate the great dragon was cast out of Heaven along with his fallen angels who will influence us to stray from God. Hence, woe to the inhabitants of the earth. If demons did not exist, why warn us in Ephesians 6 to be strong in the Lord and in His Mighty Power putting on the full armor of God to stand against the devil’s schemes?

Our struggle is against the rulers and against the authorities and the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil. What are some evil spirits that keeps us in rebellious against God and must be kept on a spiritual leash? Some obvious acts of flesh are sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like will keep us from inheriting the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)

If evil spirits do not exist why would God tell us how to recognize His Spirit? Why would He tell us not to believe every spirit but to test the spirits to see whether they are from Him? Why would He say every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from Him but is the antichrist which we heard is coming and is already in the world? (1 John 4:1-4)

In Matthew 10:1, demons came out in the form of unclean spirits. Yes, I believe in the existence of demons walking among us; otherwise, we would be perfect people in a perfect world without the need for the sacrificial death of Jesus, the second coming of Jesus or Judgment Day.

Final Thought

Do you think about the perfect world that could still exist had it not been for the disobedience of Adam and Eve? We are now converted Christians living in an imperfect world doing the best we can to save ourselves from this wicked and mad generation full of demons!

    1. You understand correctly. They can only influence us, but the choice is ours to yield to their temptations. “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” (James 1:14-15}
