What Would You Compare Your Life To?

If you had to compare your life with anything or anyone in this world, what would you compare your life to? A rich and famous person? Politicians? Or someone with a beautiful soul? Who? What? Why?

“‘If you had to compare your life with anything in this world, what would you compare your life to? I myself would compare my life to a book, you might ask why a book. The reason is that we are in many ways like a book, a book has an author who create a story. I also have a Creator, God. A book has a title or a name; I also have a title and a name.”

‘A book has many pages all numbered, and each page tells part of a story of someone or something. Each day of my life is like the pages of a book, each day of my life also has a story to tell when I begin my day, I don’t know how my day will turn out or end.’

‘Also, a book has many chapters, and each new chapter is like a new year, and I like those chapters have birthday every year. A book has a beginning chapter and an end chapter, my life also has a beginning and an end. A book tells a story sometimes good, sometimes not. And so, like the stories in a book, my life could be a good life with Christ or a not so good life without Christ.’

‘A good book when finished is kept and placed in a fine bookcase; a not so good book is either tossed out or given away. At the end of my life, I too will end up in one of two final places, if I live my life with Christ as my guide and Lord and Savior, I will end up in Heaven, but without Christ I will be judged and cast down to hell for all eternity.’

‘And for this reason, the only good book that I can compare myself to in this lifetime is the greatest book ever written which happens to be the Word of God, The Holy Bible. It is the inerrant, infallible Word of God, written by man and inspired by the Holy Spirit it came from God just a I was created by God.

The Bible is our instructional guide for how we are to live our life while we are in this earth because, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Proverb 14:12).

‘We only get one trip through this earthly life, have you considered in this lifetime which destination you will end up in, Heaven or Hell, and have you ever considered allowing Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour to be your guide through this life? My prayer for you is that you come to know Him. May the blessing of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, God Bless.'” Written by Herbert Hermandez.

Final Thought

This blog was done on last Friday night to be posted this morning. On last Saturday morning, I received the image below from Sister Copeland and thought it was perfect to add in this post. #Spiritualmindsthinkalike

“You make known to me the path of life. You will fill me with joy in your presence with eternal pleasures at Your Right Hand.” (Psalm 16:11)

If you thought of someone or something to compare your life to when the question was first asked, are your answers the same after reading the message from Herbert Hernandez in its entirety?

  2. I would compare myself to something living, like a tree, it is dependent on the refreshing water and the energy of the sun given by God. It lives with its arms outstretched, open hearted yet deep rooted too. Within its being it sings beautiful songs and claps its hands (leaves) with joy and gratitude for my life sustained by Him.
