There are four principles we need to maintain: First, read the Word of God. Second, consume the Word of God until it consumes you. Third, believe the Word of God. Fourth, act on the Word of God. — Smith Wigglesworth

“The devil knows if he can capture your thought life, he has won a mighty victory over you.” — Smith Wigglesworth
If the devil captures our minds, he will control our thoughts and behaviors. He will use us as puppets to do his bidding to sin against God. When I was diagnosed in 2016 with chronic kidney disease stage 2, I went to an all-day class on caring for my kidneys. I was educated on how to slow down the disease progression with a kidney friendly diet and advised to drink much water even when not thirsty. I had no problem absorbing nutrients and drowning my body with water to save my kidneys.

What about saving our souls? The Bible is full of spiritual nutritional seed to feed our minds, bodies and souls. We must absorb spiritual seed for faith to be activated and minds to be transformed. Scriptures educate us on caring and saving our souls from the disease of sin. Let us be like deer who thirst for streams of water? (Psalm 42:1-2)
I appreciate your post. I was just in John 4 for awhile. Another passage about spiritual thirst that only Christ can satisfy.

Thanks for sharing this post. I’ve been reading a book called “The Purpose Driven Life” that has provided much clarity for spiritually regarding certain aspects of the “word” I didn’t understand. This post relates to a chapter I recently finished. God Bless my dear!
