He Has His Hands on You

“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” — Arnold Schwarzenegger

Last week detailed reports resulted in left median nerve entrapment moderate severity-surgical grade and evidence of predominantly left lumbar radiculopathy predominately at the L5/S1 levels, most severe at the S1 level on the left. The lay term for a radiculopathy in the low back is sciatica. My nephrologist said, “That has got to be painful. “Yes! Very!

The S1 nerve compression pain is in its own category. I have increased peripheral neuropathy symptoms of weakness, numbness, tingling and pain in my legs and feet. Another report stated I am at risk for further head trauma on the basis of impaired balance with high risk of falls result of possible cerebellar contusion, concussion-related central vestibulopathy, or canalithiasis, and mild traumatic brain injury.

I was concern experiencing diabetes symptoms and saw the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at my primary care physician’s office. She tested and confirmed elevated A1C and called in a prescription and monitoring kit; diet/lifestyle and exercise are imperative despite pain.

Sister Copeland’s prayer from heavensoul “Faith doesn’t always take you out of the problem, Faith takes you through the problem. Faith doesn’t always take away the pain, Faith gives you the ability to handle the pain. Faith doesn’t always take you out of the storm, Faith calms you in the midst of the storm.”

“He will wipe every tear from [our] eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

  1. Indeed, my sister, He has hand on you. Through struggle, through the test, through the things we face, His love is faithful. And He’s looking, for a heart He can trust, to be faithful… too! Blessings to you, rest in His love!

      1. I’m so glad you are getting some comfort from your faith in God. I do feel for you in your pain, however. I’m well, thanks, Tangie, although my counselling is tough and emotional at the moment, hence so much personal writing on my blog. It helps me to process the difficult feelings. Take care, Tangie xx 💖

    1. Hello Donna, thank you and I appreciate being in your prayers and thoughts. Sending love and thanks to you and your family, especially little Eli. How is he?

      1. He is doing good. He had another seizure but they were able to get it under control with emergency med. He has a new spiderman bike but he cannot keep his right foot on the pedal nor.his.right hand on the handles. They were going to take him with his bike to his therapist. Hopefully they will modify it so that he can enjoy it. He is the cutest little guy. Thanks so much for asking. Hugs!

      2. I hate hearing another seizure, I often think of him and remember his and the family in my prayers. Looking forward to the pictures. Hugs and have a wonderful night.

    1. Good morning, Karla. Thank you, my sister, and you are loved too. I am still praying for you and what you are enduring. I agree it is so important to have a support system when tough times visit us. I hope you are done with chemo. Please give me an update at your convenience. Be safe.
