Manipulation of The Mind

All souls belong to God, but not all souls will be saved. — Tangie T. Woods

I came across a manual received years ago in a required class; one topic of discussion was Data Manipulation meaning acts of manipulating something in a skillful manner and manipulating someone in a clever or unscrupulous way. We definitely see plenty of mind manipulation in our society today, so much we should not continue wasting intellectual and spiritual energy on people who choose to live contrary to the Word of God.

It amazes me how the masses are quick to be led by man’s word but disregard the Word of God. Opponents of Jesus today can refer to the dispute and resolution in John 8:31-47 over whose children Jesus’ opponents were.

Jesus said “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on My own; God sent Me. Why is My language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say you belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires.”

There are false teachers, preachers, apostles and prophets who manipulate minds to believe their evil doctrines. They see flaws in everyone but themselves and prey on the weak minded ignorant of Scriptures. They look for people who want to be led and cannot think for themselves. I love Jesus did not sugarcoat words to appease mankind. His word was spoken and final.

If this was not true, there would not be a need for Matthew 7:15-21 warning us to watch out for false prophets and not everyone who says Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of Heaven. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 reads the Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars whose consciences [are] seared. Hence, the blind leading the blind.

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel, which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from Heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you let them be under God’s curse! This was reiterated in Verse 9. (Galatians 1:6-10)

FINAL THOUGHTS

We must stay vigilant of lying hypocrites spreading teachings of the devil. Save your soul! “Do the hard right than the easy wrong.” — Unknown

During the moments we are free from fleeing Satan, how do we spend our time? Are we continuing doing what is required to obey God and rebuke and resist Satan’s demons from attempting to manipulate our mind?

      1. Great. Thank you very much. I definitely am doing the wrist surgery, but I am not sure about neck surgery. I do not want it and I pray the surgeon said it not needed if I am willing to live with pain. Well, that has been my life since 2009. What about you, have you fully recovered?

  3. It is always interesting to me when people abandon the faith. I can understand a person coming from a secular background and who maybe has never had consistent introduction and/or experiences with God and the church, but people who have been exposed to God should have a better sense. There is a such thing as backsliding, and to reject God through backsliding, you must have had some exposure to him and the Word. However, I think the ones who abandon the faith may not have gotten deeply rooted or were skeptical of the Bible or God altogether. Then there are people who were never called by God but who called themselves!!!! Their abandonment began as soon as they called themselves. I think “abandonment of the faith” needs further exploration in the Christian community and in the church because we got a lot of misunderstanding of what it means to be Christian compared to what it means to be a born-again Christian. Two different mindsets and belief systems. Great post.

    1. Yes, not deeply rooted to transform minds to be converted (Hebrews 5:12; Luke 22:32 KJV). New babes in Christ are left to fend for themselves after being baptized into Christ. There are many who were deeply rooted but love the world more instead of leading lost souls to Christ. “Demas, because he loved this world has deserted ….” (2 Timothy 4:10) Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this blog. Insightful.
