Do What I Tell You and Live What I Tell You

“Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.” (Deuteronomy 4:2, Deuteronomy 12:31-32; Jeremiah 26:2-3; Leviticus 22:31; Joshua 1:7; Proverb 30:6; Ecclesiastes 12:13 and Revelation 22:18)

It is dangerous attempting to play with God as though He is our equal to appease itching ears. (Galatians 1:10). We refuse to heed to not add or subtract from the Word of God. I recently read something questioning God’s gender to justify worldly views. John 4:24 clearly states, “God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must do so in Sprit and in Truth.”

2 Timothy 2:23-26 tells us not to deal with foolishness and stupid arguments that produce quarrels instead be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the Truth and come to their senses to escape the devil’s traps to do his will.”

Personal pronouns He, Him and His are for human understanding, not to identify God’s gender. Again, He is a Spirit and the two genders He created are biblical! In John 4:25-26 and in 28-29, the woman said to HIM, “I know that the Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ [Son of God), “When HE comes, HE will tell us all things. Jesus said I who speak to you am HE. The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city and said to the men. “Come see a MAN who told me all things that I ever did.”

Even though we live under the Christian Dispensation, we must go back to the beginning to get understanding (Roman 15:4). In Genesis 1:1-31, “Then God said, “Let Us (God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness. Likeness refers to resemblance not actual. “So created man in HIS own image; in the image of God, He created Him; male and female. Yes, Jesus took on human flesh as a MAN when He walked the earth (Luke 24:36-43).

Genesis 2:7-24, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life: and man became a living being. The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden and there HE put the man whom HE had formed. Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord commanded the man….”

‘And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him….” Among the animals there was not found a helper comparable for him. In verse 21, God created a deep sleep on Adam, the man He created, and the only Human on the earth to form a woman from Adam’s rib and HE brought her to the man.

Adam said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore, a man shall leave his father [male] and mother [female] and be joined to his wife [woman] and they shall become one flesh. Chapter 3 talks about the fall and judgment of the two genders God created: man and woman.

“For the time will come [has come] when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers and they will turn their ears away from the Truth and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry (2 Timothy 4:1-6).

Christians are charged to teach the Truth. “‘Charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ who will judge the living and the dead at HIS appearing and HIS kingdom, to be ready in season and out of season. We are to convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching.'” Why is it so hard to just do what God commanded and live like HE instructed?

Why is it we hold true every word of the constitution written by man and dare not change it but doubt every Word of God and we change it often. We pledge our allegiance to man who can kill the body but deny allegiance to God who can kill the body and soul. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God. (Revelation 2:7)

God said, “‘Stand in the court of the Lord’s House and speak to all the cities of Judah which come to worship in the Lord’s house and all the words that I command you to speak to them do NOT dimmish a word. Perhaps everyone will listen and turn from their evil ways that I may relent the calamity which I purpose to bring on them because of the evil of their doings….'”

And you shall say to them, thus says the Lord: “If you will NOT listen to ME, to walk in MY laws which I have set before you, to heed the words of MY servants the prophets whom I sent to you, both rising up early and sending them (but you have not heeded), then I will make this house like Shiloh and will make this city a curse to ALL the nations of the earth.” (Jermiah 26:2-6)

Look around at the unusual weather temperatures, many storms, millions of acres of land and houses burned down to the ground, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornados, floating houses and vehicles, lives lost in unprecedent numbers from the pandemic, which has now rise in every county in the state I live in, uncontrollable mass shootings and much more happening globally that go unnoticed, but we still remain an unrepented world.

Are we being too quiet sharing the Doctrine of Christ and being too loud sharing what cannot get us from earth to glory? Are we hiding behind walls of the worship building? Are we diligently striving to stay within Scriptures? Are we ready for Jesus’ returns? Do we know why judgment will begin at the house of God? (1 Peter 4:17). Is it to take care of the wolves first and separate the wheat from the tares (Matthew 13:24-30)?

Final Thoughts

I had approximately fifty more scriptures regarding this subject, but I know most of us know and obey the Word of God. We understand each moment God allows us to exist is a moment closer to Jesus’ return.

I do not have time to play when there is so much more work to be done. My main focus is pleasing and obeying God and striving to be prepared for the Judgment in hope to have enough of God’s grace and mercy to save myself from this perverse generation (Acts 2:40)? What about you?

    1. Hi Donna, thank you for commenting. Yesterday, the neurologist saw three suspicious areas on my brain MRI. Lord willing, I am scheduled for an overnight 24-hour stay for a video EEG on Friday, July 29. Thanks for checking on me. How are you, Eli and the family?
