I am reminded of Isaiah 55:8-9, when God said His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are our ways His ways. He wants us to listen and obey.
I had a habit of fixing everyone’s problems even when not asked. I would interject my thoughts before they could finish a sentence. I told them what I thought would be best like perhaps we do with God. I learned to just listen, and the person solved their problems without my input.
In like manner, God just wants us to listen to HIM and obey HIS commandments. Salvation belongs to God and our soul depends on our obedience and His grace, mercy and forgiveness.
Sister Copeland shared on July 10, 2022, the devotion from The Peace of Heaven. It reads For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of Salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now (2 Corinthians 6:2).
We will definitely need Him on the day of Salvation. The devotion continues “Dear Lord, I am believing in your promises. I know you hear the cries of my heart and will answer with love. Thank you for being my Savior that I can count on to help me every single day.”
Read 1 Timothy 1:1-20, and note in verse 20, “Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.” Do you think God has turned this wicked world over to Satan to be taught a lesson for not listening to Him?
We must remain faithful to God and be ready for the end! If the world had chosen to listen to God, it would not be in the current state of people gone wild. We must remain faithful to God and be ready for the end!
