Have you encounter people who deem their thoughts higher than God’s? Have you encounter people who allow personal feelings to supersede God’s commandments? My cousin, Faye, posted on Facebook, “Body is visible in a mirror but character is visible in actions.” Amen!
We must stand boldly on the word of God and not put ourselves in the middle of controversies that do not line up with the commandments of God. There is no commandment from God to justify obeying and disobeying Him simultaneously. God said we are in the world but not of it; therefore, living in a rebellious world does not grant us immunity if defying His commandments.
Many identify as followers of Christ but stand boldly in agreement to what is contrary to His commandments. We do not have a right to disobey God. However, as free moral agents, we have the choice to disobey, or obey, with the understanding our soul will eternally weep or rejoice.
Do we expect God to turn a blind eye to our behavior and emotions when ignoring His authority? There is no wiggle room in His Word. We must understand not all band wagons are ours to jump onboard since God does not need our help, but instead wants our obedience. (1 Samuel 15:22)
Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have so that no one will take your crown.” (Revelation 3:11)
