Our Christian Responsibilities

Paul was appointed a preacher, an apostle and a teacher of the Gentiles. His main point of 2 Timothy is to never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord, and to be ready to suffer for the sake of the Doctrine of Jesus.

He writes a letter to Timothy from prison encouraging him do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of him, His prisoner, but share in the sufferings for the Gospel according to the power of God who has saved us and called us with a holy calling not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace given to us in Christ Jesus.

Paul explained the reason he unashamed suffered things because he knew Who he believed and was persuaded that the Lord will keep what he had committed to Him until that Day. He continued encouraging Timothy to hold fast the pattern of Sound Words, the Doctrine of Jesus, which he heard from him and in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. and to keep by the Holy Spirit dwelling in him. (2 Timothy 1:1-18)

Paul knew who he believed and was persuaded that the Lord will keep what he had committed to Him until that Day. What about us? Who or what are we allowing to persuade us, God or man? Are we maintaining our commitment to Christ in the same manner as Paul? Are we unashamed to stand firm on the Gospel of Jesus?

FINAL THOUGHT

The earth is Satan’s shopping exchange mall full of evil where people exchange their souls to fulfill their evil desires, sinful pleasures and secular success. We are instructed in Scriptures not to trust mankind but trust only God. Sadly, many have disregarded this commandment among many others. We must not be distracted by worldly troubles but focus on God’s Truth to get us from earth to glory!

  1. I agree. But how many of us truly know the gosspil in order to stand firm on it… Granted we do not need to know all things, but most things are necessary to know for a successful and life fulfilling relationship with christ.

    1. I agree we do not need to know everything but at least know where to find it in the Bible. Sadly, you are right not enough of us know the Gospel to stand firm. I learned laws, directives and many out of state addresses that I no longer needed printouts because everything had been routed to memory. Unfortunately, many do not have the same zeal to learn the Word of God and will be without excuse on the Judgment Day. Thank you for reading and commenting. Have a wonderful day/night and remain safe. (Romans 1:20, 18-32). (Hebrews 3:12-19). (Hebrews 5:11-14). (Hebrews 6:1-20).
