Overcoming Weariness From Stress

Have you experienced stress? What are challenges in your life causing anxiety? Do you recognize stress triggers? If so, what precautions do you take to avoid them? In addition to reading God’s Words, I listen to calming instrumental music by YoungMin You and others, but YoungMin You is my favorite.

My stress was the body’s reaction from a traumatic situation that happened in a 2009 accident causing my body to flee into protected mode from potential impact. After sixteen surgeries and years of physical therapy, it is human nature to react after a traumatic accident, but my trust and faith are in God to protect me; this is how we should protect our soul from demonic temptation.

People handle stress differently and symptoms of stress can vary. I was affected mentally, physically and spiritually. What about you? Are you easily agitated, moody, or frustrated? Have you ever had an incident that caused your body to unconsciously activate protective mode?

Have you felt overwhelmed as if you were losing control? Has your self-esteem decrease? Do you avoid others? Do you have low energy and headaches? Do you grind your teeth or experience other signs of stress? Do experience moments of forgetfulness and inability to focus? What about a change in appetite? Do you know the long-term consequences of stress?

Perhaps everyone has experienced different degrees of stress, but chronic stress may cause or worsen existing health problems. Stress is a part of life but how we handle it makes the difference. My medical advice was to recognize symptoms and triggers to combat stress.

When I stopped focusing on my injuries and return my focus back to God it made a huge positive impact managing stress. I started succeeding spiritually and one example was getting over the fear to blog.

My obedience to blog is a coping mechanism to encourage others and to be encouraged by others is now one of my passions reaching people from all nations (Matthew 28:19-20).

FINAL THOUGHTS

The interactions, the encouragement and support for one another in our blogging community have truly blessed me with an awesome virtual support system. I pray my blogs have done the same for you.

Disclaimer: I am not a medical expert or giving medical advice how to manage your stress. I am sharing my personal experience how I overcame weariness from stress.
