Get Away With God

Lamentations 3:25-28 “The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young. Let him sit alone in silence, for the Lord has laid it on him.””

Have you ever experienced having no time to talk to God through Jesus in prayer? What about time to thank Him for His grace, mercy and forgiveness? Do you search the web during times you do not have for the Lord but find time to talk and text friends, run errands or write blogs?

Do you go to bed without praying but suddenly have energy to get up and watch your favorite television shows? Have you exhausted yourself from working eight plus hours on your secular job and are too tired to pray and meditate on Scriptures? How many Christians do you know have admitted they do not want to spend time with God, but their actions say it all?

During your quiet time with God, do you turn off your phone and tell your family not to interrupt you unless an extreme emergency. When we are dedicated to Him, we must be vigilant because Satan is on his guard post to keep us busy, distracted and away from our Father. We must get away from the noise in our mind and pray like Jesus in Luke 5:16.

  1. Powerful Tangie!!! Many times we put squeeze God into our busy daily schedule or what is said to be “busy”!
However, it’s an “after thought” when we decide to do everything first and think about praying, Worshipping God as a very last option!

    1. Amen, Pam. It is really sad when we/if we allow things and people to supersede our God. Thank you for sharing your comments and remain safe, sis.
