The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion. When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a ruler with discernment and knowledge maintains order. (Proverb 28:1-28)
Despite living in an evil world, we must Breathe and Praise the Lord
Another mass shooting! Memories of one of my younger brothers being shot seven times. I wish we could live in harmony and in peace. But I understand as free moral agents, God allows us to choose to love Him and follow Jesus to Heaven or love Satan and follow him to Hell. (Revelation 21:8, John 5:28-29; Matthew 25:46; Psalm 21:7-9; and Mark 9:42-47).
No nation should hand out free passes to harm others. “The violence of the wicked will drag them away, for they refuse to do what is right. The ways of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright. The wicked crave evil. (Proverb 21:7-9).
God gave clear instructions in Romans 12:19 not to take revenge but leave room for His wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. Christians are governed by biblical commandments that give us no authority to take matters in our own hands as judge and jury.
How can we be set apart if we choose to take our emotions off the spiritual leash? The Life of Jesus matters to us who love Him and obey His Doctrine. So, we must breathe and stay off the bandwagons of hatred.
It is stated in Hebrews 10:30 “For we know Him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge His people.”
