Do Not Forsake God or His Body

The Lord will listen. He heard the cries of the Israelites in Egyptian bondage and sent someone to orchestrate their freedom. He saw their afflictions, heard their cry, and knew their sorrows.” (Exodus 3:7-22)

Do you Release anxiety and distress to allow God’s Reassurance, Relaxation and Relief, or do you forsake the assembly during troubled times?

We should not return to the world during difficult times, nor forsake the Body of Christ. The world may briefly soothe a troubled mind like David playing for Saul’s tormented soul in 1 Samuel 16:23. We must understand everlasting relief can only come from the Balm of Gilead, Jesus.

Satan has convinced some Christians the way to spell relief from their troubles is to leave the Body and post a “vacancy” sign in their seat.

We should never seek spiritual advice from an ungodly world. Per devotion received from Spiritual Mother Sister Copeland on Sunday, May 15, 2022, “God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, nor sun without rain. But He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.”

  1. Yes sis I agree!! When we are going through tough times, that is when we should draw closer to him, and stear clear of ungodly advice!! Yesterday during Bro Davis message he spoke about how Christians would go through tribulations and how most of us got it wrong thinking this walk is going to be a bed of Roses. If it was a bed of Roses we wouldn’t have a reason to pray! Great Blog

    1. Thank you very much Desiree for sharing your comments. You are definitely right that some people think being baptized into Christ will solve all of their problems. This is why it is so important that in our teaching them truth they understand the important of their decision and to count the cost before when making the most important decision of their life. Have a wonderful day/night and remain safe.
