Has anything, or anyone, turned your heart against God? What about others bringing problems into your life? Do you feel your soul is disturbed, or feel comfortable and delighted walking on your spiritual journey? (Psalm 94:19)
Are you weary? Worn out? Exhausted? Dog tired? Drained? Overwhelmed? Dead tired or feel shattered? We get overwhelmed with domestic affairs, socioeconomic status, relationships, current events or striving for secular success. How are we striving for spiritual success?
Overwhelmed for some Christians put them in companionship with those experiencing spiritual weariness. How did I remove myself from this mindset? I had stopped taking on more responsibilities than I could effectively and efficiently manage. I share a Facebook post below from Dana Ives, and it speaks volume on closing the door to weariness.
I once asked a very successful woman to share her secret with me. She smiled and said, “I started succeeding when I started leaving small fights for small fighters. I stopped fighting those who gossiped about me. I stopped fighting with my-in-laws. I stopped fighting for attention.’
‘I stopped fighting to meet people’s expectation of me. I stopped fighting for my rights with inconsiderate people. I stopped fighting to please everyone. I stopped fighting to prove they were wrong about me. I left such fights for those who have nothing else to fight.’
‘And I started fighting for my vision, my dreams, my ideas and my destiny. The day I gave up on small fights is the day I started becoming successful and so much more content. Some fights are not worth your time. Choose what you fight for wisely.'”
For spiritual sucess we need to close the door behind some people and post a sign Satan, I Am Strengthening My Relationship With God – Your Door To Weariness Is Closed Forever. Now Flee From My Holy Spirit Temple. The only thing we should not stop fighting for is the salvation of our soul.
