Most of my physicians have the same theme: “Lose The Weight, Tangie.”
Several of my physicians were not pleased with my elevated blood pressure and weight gain. I was comfortable getting good results that I stopped vigilance in eating sweets. I am now required to document daily blood pressure/weight charts and send to my nephrologist every 30 days.
In 1 Timothy 4:8 it is written “For physical training is of some value but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” We should adhere to medical instructions knowing our body is God’s temple where the Holy Spirit dwells.
Gluttony is a sin. Satan stands at our door to influence indulgence of anything contrary to the Word of God. “Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in Heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ who by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.” (Philippians 3:19-21)
