Don’t Be Fool By Small Sizes

Don’t be fool by the tiny size of caterpillars. Have you ever been bitten by a caterpillar? If so, did you have reactions such as a rash, redness, swelling, welts or blisters? Were your symptoms mild, moderate or severe?

The above caterpillar bit me in several places on April 04, 2022, after leaving a medical appointment and waiting outside for a quote at a tire store. I felt stinging and developed a moderate rash on my neck and upper back. The redness and itchiness were severe since I have Dermographism Urticaria.

As days passed bumps appeared, itching intensified and symptoms were annoying. I never want to see another caterpillar. In the same manner sin should make us feel this way. This little critter left marks on my body but unrepented sin leaves marks on our soul determining its destiny.

Some spike-hairs caterpillars have quills connected to poisonous sacs that break off and release tiny doses of toxins. According to Google it is a defense mechanism the caterpillar deploys to avoid being mishandled.

I aggressively knocked him off my neck onto the sidewalk and the impact killed him. Are we applying the defense mechanisms from the Doctrine of Jesus to avoid being mishandled by Satan and to kill sin from our lives?

  5. Oh, Tangie! That’s terrible. I’m so sorry! And I understand the analogy with Satan. I was bitten by a small neon green bug that Inhad never heard of last summer on my patio. My hand swelled and I ran a fever! I hope you’re doing better my friend. Stay safe and blessed! 💛🙏🏻
