Born, Live, Die, Born Again, Die, Live

On the morning of Saturday, April 09, 2022, we attended a graveside service for one of our dear sister-in-Christ. On the same day in the afternoon, I had an appointment for two MRIs (lumbar and cervical).

I laid inside the Magnetic Resonance Imagining machine and closed my eyes thinking that everyone is born into this world to live with an appointment to die. In the same manner, we are afforded the opportunity through the Blood of Jesus to be born again to live.

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a Lamb without blemish or detect. He was chosen before the creation of the world but was revealed in these last times for [our] sake. ‘Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him and so your faith and hope are in God.’

‘Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply from the heart. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable through the living and enduring word of God. For, “All people are like grass and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall but the word of the Lord endures forever.’

‘And this the world that was preached to you.'” (1 Peters 1:18-25)

Do you think about being born into this world to live with an appointment to die? Do you think about being afforded an opportunity through the Blood of Jesus to be born again in Christ with God’s grace and mercy to live in Heaven?

REFERENCE SCRIPTURES:

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”

Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirt. You should not be surprised at my saying ‘You must be born again.” (John 3:3-8)

    1. Jeanne, thank you so much for prayers of comfort for our sister’s family. Thank you for your favorable prayers. Lord willing, I get results for the brain MRI and also have memory testing on April 25th when I see the neurologists. My appointment with the orthopedic surgeon for cervical and lumbar MRI results is scheduled for April 20th. I have already been previously informed that neck and another back surgery is needed. Lord willing, I will see my pain management doctor tomorrow to get scheduled for an injection in my neck, and to schedule an EMG/NCS. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers and have a wonderful day/night and remain safe.

    1. Thanks Steve she was a very loveable sister-in-Christ. She was ill but made sure to listen to my husband, her minister, lessons online when she was not physically able to come to the building. She listened to his Bible Study on Wednesday night two weeks ago, commented Amen, and Thursday morning she was dead. We never know when our eyes will close forever and must always be ready. T

  2. I’m sorry for your loss and I’m praying for positive results from your MRI. I understand. This is a beautiful post of truth and a promise. It’s a joy knowing we’re not “home” yet. And a comfort to know that one day I’ll be celebrating with other believers with our risen Savior. Have a blessed day dear Tangie! 💛♥️❤️

    1. Karla, thank you. She will definitely be missed not being in worship service when she was able to attend. If not, she was faithful making her way to the worship [church] building. Agree with you and look so forward to my Heaven citizenship. Have a wonderful day/night and remain safe.
