“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:7-8)

Do we pray to the Living God for help maintaining a pure heart? Do we pray that our renewed minds maintain a steadfast spirit? I read Psalm 51 and thought perhaps we should send friendly reminders to continue praying without ceasing not only because the world has deserted God, and the Gospel of Jesus, but to help us save ourselves from this wicked world. (Acts 2:40)
“Have mercy on me, God, according to your unfailing love according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. WASH away all my iniquity and CLEANSE me from my sin. For I know my transgressions and my sin is always before me.’
‘Against You, YOU only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so, You are right in Your verdict and justified when You judge.’

‘Cleanse me with hyssop and I will be clean; wash me and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a PURE heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.’
‘Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways so that sinners will turn back to you. Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, You who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.’
‘Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise.'”

FINAL THOUGHTS
Our minds are invisible battlefields that only can be seen by God. Satan targets them attempting to influence us to sin against God. At all costs, we must remain steadfast in God’s Word and in spiritual integrity. We must be a spiritual village to help one another win the war with encouragement, edification and truth to restore us through repentance when we have sin. A unified Body with a bold and faithful leader that has the Lord’s approval is essential.

Tangie, it is vitally important that we pray without ceasing asking God daily to create in us a new mind and spirit, a continuous spirit of surrender, towards our God and Jesus Christ.
