Attitude! Who Me???

Cheerfulness sharpens the edge and removes the rust from the mind. A joyous heart supplies oil to our inward machinery and makes the whole of our powers work with ease and efficiency; hence it is of the utmost importance that we maintain a contented, cheerful, genial disposition. –James H. Aughey

Attitude is defined as an outward physical expression of strong inward feelings. We should be careful not to misjudge others by their persona.

Has anyone ever accused you of having an attitude? People misjudged my quietness and minding my own business as having an attitude or being standoffish. I am a kindhearted woman, but it takes a while to warm up to others. Why? I have often been misquoted, words twisted when others chose to gossip about me and have been unfairly mistreated.

Words have the power to bless, curse, heal or destroy. They bring hope or defeat, and they last an entire lifetime. We must be mindful of every word you speak will boomerang right back to you. Every blessing or cursing. Please be wise and caring when you speak. — The Social Butterfly

What does the Bible say about attitude? Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

In conclusion, “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt so that you may know how to answer everyone.” (Colossians 4:6)
