Happy ThanksLiving Day Everyone

How many of us mark our calendars for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, vacations and other important and special days? Have you thought about marking your calendars for “Happy ThanksLiving Day?”

Are we thankful to God for allowing us to meet the basic necessities of life? “‘For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.”

‘Do we thank God daily for each day we remain steadfast in the faith? ”Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. ‘But you, [people] of God, flee from all this and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.’

‘Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you are called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.'” (1 Timothy 6:7-12)

Do you concur that our spiritual calendars should be marked daily for Happy ThanksLiving Day when God open our eyes? “Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 5:20)

I love blogging His Word, as well as virtually communicating with others who share same passion spreading God’s word globally. I am also thankful for everyone who read and/or make comments. All Glory to God!

“God has promised to supply all our needs. What we don’t have now, we don’t need now.” – Elizabeth Elliot

FINAL THOUGHTS

Thank you, Sister Copeland, for your ThanksLiving prayer. “Thank you, God, for the roof over my head, a bed to sleep in, food on my table and shoes on my feet. Forgive me if I ever start to complain and forget my great blessings. Amen.”

  1. Very good point. Your posts I have read are upbeat, and with a peace-filled intention. Thanks for what you do.
I know a few people that don’t believe in God or an afterlife or reincarnation of any sort, and are such kind souls, they do not even murder insects, rather, they appreciate the buggy individuality and strange beauty. Some people make the world more beautiful by being here and need not religions to be wholesome and just. Maybe God did create these folks – however they got here, I’m thankful for them. If we all valued lives of others this way, every day could be a Happy Thanksliving day.

    1. Hello Dawn, thank you for your comments. You are right about many do not believe in God or the afterlife, as free moral agents we have the choice to choose to be Christians baptized into Christ. However, according to the Scriptures our choice will have consequences on the day of Judgment. In like manner, our personal life on earth has consequences by decisions we make. I also agree with you that you do not have to be a Christian to be a person of morals and standards. Sadly, on some occasions, I have been treated far more with respect by those who are not Christians, than those who are. All souls belong to God but according to the Scriptures not all souls will be saved. Have a wonderful day/night and remain safe.

      1. I understand how you mean about treatment from self-proclaimed Christians. And, my lizards have treated me with more love than many, many humans, i am convinced they too have souls : )
You have a wonderful day and tonight as well. Thank you.
