“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in Heaven where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19-21)

I once left my house in Alabama unsecured failing to activate the security system. Yes, rushing to get on the road to Key West, Florida. Even though my insurance company covered all stolen items, it reminded me earthly possessions can be replaced, but the most valuable possession, our soul, cannot. Are you securing your soul with the [key] in the Bible?
The Word tells us the salvation of our soul can be secured and saved, Acts 2:40-47, through the Blood of Jesus which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:28). Are we busy rushing through life forgetting to secure our soul from the influences of Satan?

“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress; I will not greatly move. (Psalm 62:1-2)
FINAL THOUGHTS
What good will it be for us to gain possessions, yet forfeit our soul? According to Matthew 16:26, there is not anything more valuable in exchange for our soul. Do we take extreme measures to secure and save our soul in the same manner of securing earthly possessions?
It is shameful how some place so much value on earthly things. Preachers building villages and museums. The doctrine of prosperity is a danger to all.
