THE DASH IN THE MIDDLE

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. In Him was life, and that life was the Light of all mankind. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:1-5)

“There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that Light so that through Him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the Light. The true Light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him.” (John 1:6-10)

What about us? Does the world recognize us as followers of Light, Jesus, or followers of darkness, the devil and those who do his bidding? Do you want to be remembered as refined by the word of God, or defined by the word of mankind? In James 3:11-12, questions were asked, “Can both fresh water and saltwater flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters “Can a fig tree bear olive, or a grapevine bear fig? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

We cannot hang with anyone when we have a spiritual assignment (1 Corinthians 15:33). The world still does not recognize our Lord and Savior. If we want to be like the world let it be only in the manner of not allowing anyone to deter us from what we believe. The world stands firm by its evil beliefs and does not recognize God to obey His commandments. Are we standing firm in our belief leading lost souls to the Light?

FINAL THOUGHTS

What will your life, the dash in the middle, reveal? I want my dash to reveal approval for Heaven’s citizenship. “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked and fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ, to Him be glory both now and forever. Amen.” (2 Peter 3:17-18)

STUDY SCRIPTURES: Please read the entire chapter of 2 Peter 3.

  1. I won’t the Dash in the middle to reveal that I lived before men a spiritual walk life before others and I taught The gospel of Jesus Christ to others.
