God’s “NO” Is A Redirection!

“Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word. Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared. (Psalm 119:37-38)

Have you ever been rejected? I applied for numerous promotions over the years to be rejected except a couple of times; rejection was not for being unqualified. I understood later that man’s rejection was God’s redirection keeping me on a safe spiritual path.

When others reject you, praise God for steering your wheel of life in a different direction. I know people who chose not to yield to God but instead took control of the steering wheels of their lives and suffered negative consequences.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Have you experienced rejection to discover God was redirecting you? Did you come to the conclusion that there is no greater promotion than from earth to glory? I never thought one day that I would appreciate all those who rejected my service at places GOD did not want me.

I gained peace over position–and that my friends can no man take away. I admit my faith and patience were tested, and at times it was not easy.

SISTER COPELAND’S DEVOTION (Your Faith Is Being Tested!)

Your patience, your faithfulness, and your belief in Jesus Christ are all being tested as if by fire–the fire of burdens, troubles, temptations and fears. Then look to Jesus and His promises for the strength, the love, and the endurance you need. For everyone must be tested, but by trusting the Lord with your burdens they become light and by being faithful to your belief in Jesus. (Job 23:10) “YOU COME FORTH AS GOLD!”

  1. I am thankful to God for “redirecting and positioning” me; at all the times, I wasn’t aware of and for that I glorify God.

  2. This is a powerful concept and one that many people don’t get. Sometimes I don’t even understand until after the event. It’s sometimes years later when you have those ah ha moments and you realise why God said no. What an amazing father who keeps us safely protected. Even in some former church circles, God kept me away from certain positions that I felt competent to serve in. Years later I realised why God didn’t want me in some circles. Thanks be to God. Bless you for writing this. 🙏🏾

  3. Great post. Redirects can be frustrating, but God’s wisdom is far superior to ours. Several times I was denied a promotion. When it happened I was frustrated, but later I thanked God after I saw what happened to the people who received the promotion.
