“‘My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season and am not silent. But thou are holy, thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.’
‘Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. But I am a worm, and no man a reproach of men, and despised of the people. All they see me laugh and to scorn; they shoot out the lip, they sake the head, saying.’
‘He TRUSTED on the LORD that He would deliver him, seeing he delighted in HIM.'” (Psalm 22:1-8) Do we delight in Him? Or delight in people? In God we trust! Do we, really? If we delight and trust in God, why is our nation divided?
What is the common denominator in the following scriptures: Psalm 118:8-9; Micah 7:5; Psalm 146:3? There is a very good reason for God speaking it multiple times. Think about it! How can we trust God and simultaneously trust mankind?
When we trust mankind is this a form of disobedience? How can we love God if following the world’s beliefs and behaviors? We are warned that bad company corrupts good [godly] behavior. (1 Corinthians 15:33)
How can our nation be one nation under God when it is divided? How can we worship God in Spirit and in Truth if we harbor hatred in our hearts? (John 4:24) How can we love God and hate our brothers and sisters?
According to 1 John 4:20-21, “Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sisters is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And He has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.”
I look forward to reading your comments. Have a great day/night and remain safe as possible.
