Giselle Thomas, A Young Woman on The Move!

Giselle is a Multimedia Journalist / Reporter for CBS4 News-WGFL

Giselle, 27, is definitely a young woman on the move. She was born and raised in Deerfield Beach, Florida with West Indian roots from Grenada, and is the first generation in America.

She was always involved in public speaking growing up. Giselle was raised in the Body of Christ and was baptized at the age of 10 at a youth conference in Valdosta, Georgia. She started MC’ing on youth Sundays and attended youth conferences every summer. She currently worships at the Gainesville Church of Christ in Gainesville, Florida.

Giselle graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) School of Journalism and Graphic Communication in 2018. Giselle is a Florida AP Award-winning journalist.

She is currently employed as a reporter / Multimedia Journalist for WFGL CBS4 News in Gainesville, Florida. She was a Broadcast Associate at CBS Mornings—one of America’s top-rated morning shows. She was with CBS News now known as Viacom CBS for three years. While at Viacom CBS, she was part of co-host of CBS Morning’s Tony Dokoupil’s editorial/producing team.

Giselle has been blessed with a different experience than most throughout the pandemic. She spent three months working remotely during 2020, and the rest of the year she was able to physically go to work. She assisted in interviews with Senator Bernie Sanders, Oprah Winfrey and many other notable personalities. She was also able to travel across several battlegrounds’ states during the 2020 election season speaking with voters.

Giselle learns fast and has no plan slowing down on her successful journey. Another goal of hers is to continue striving to help as many people as possible. As a Christian, she knows anything is possible with the Lord steering her wheel of life.

FINAL THOUGHT

Giselle has lived and reported in various states. She is young, humble and definitely a woman on the move. Our family will continue enjoying times with her until she relocates to another state.

    1. Hi Lee, I did not either until I spoke with her and researched her history. The key for her success at 26 years old–Christian in the Lord’s Body, maintains humbleness and dedication and motivation. Our young people have so many opportunities to succeed today. Sadly, many are letting those opportunities slip away.
