Who Is the Master of Your Faith?

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both GOD and mammom (Matthew 6:24).

Anything you love more than you love Jesus Christ is an Idol; you better get rid of it! — Spiritual Mother Sister Copeland

There are many devices used to draw us away from GOD, and sometimes God and the devil are falsely accused of our sins. We know God does not tempt us to do evil. Why would He? His desire is for us to be save from this wicked world, not perish with it.

James 1:14 states each person is tempted when dragged away by their own evil desires and enticed. Satan has no power or control over us. His position is to influence us to sin, and we make the choice to yield or flee using God’s way of escaping the wiles of the devil. (1 Corinthians 10:9-13)

Submit yourselves to GOD. Resist the devil and he will flee from [us]. Come near to GOD and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the LORD, and He will lift you up. (James 4:7-10)

“Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord an shun evil. This will bring health to your body ad nourishment to your bones. (Proverbs 3:5-8)

Lord, I need you in every facet of my life. Sometimes, I allow myself to get busy and fail to thank you for your grace, mercy and Your love shown to me on the cross. What about you? Do you occasionally let life get in the way of thanking our Lord and Savior, Jesus, the Master of our Faith?

Dear God, please bless our families with Your love and protect us from harm. Give us the grace to forgive, as well as the strength to overcome the difficulties we face. Keep us together when the world tries to pull us apart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  1. Bonjour

    Bise Bernard
