Stay in the Fight, You’re an Overcomer

There are many examples in the Bible, and in our world, where others overcame their circumstances through their obedience and faith in God. One of many perfect examples of faith is Daniel and his friends.

During the captivity of Daniel and Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, Daniel refused to eat the Babylonian food because he did not want to defile himself. His captors honored his request because God allowed them to show him favor and compassion.

Another example is Daniel and the three boys refusing to bow to Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image and were put in a fiery furnace. God rescued them and promoted them again.

FINAL THOUGHTS

We must remain steadfast in our faith and trust God to prevail in our lives like Daniel despite the appearances of his circumstances. I encourage you to stay in the fight to allow God to show you favor and compassion to become an overcomer.

My finger surgery went well and I started new antibiotics last night. It was then I realized just how exhausting I was from the smallest part of my body causing the most trouble and worse pain. In like manner, be mindful sin is sin and what we perceive as a small sin could be the very one preventing us from getting enough of God’s grace to enter into Heaven.

On yesterday, Dr. F., who looks young enough to be my daughter, flushed out more bacteria, fluid and scheduled my first finger therapy on tomorrow, Lord willing. Also, Lord willing on Friday I have an examination at the Spine Evaluation and Rehabilitation Clinic to evaluate the need, or not, for neck surgery. What a week?! Thank God I am off until Monday, November 15, 2021.

    1. Hello Sister Carr, thank you for encouraging words. I am not weary and just patiently await divine intervention so others can still see God in the midst of storms. I had my first hand therapy today and the therapist thoroughly clean my finger and dressed the wound and area with stiches. She will do this twice a week for two months. By the grace of GOD, I have no pain since the surgeon flushed everything out. I am still on antibiotics for five more days. Thank you for your prayers, support and encouragement.
