Who is Molding and Making You?

Thank you, Sister Copeland, for this prayer. “GOD, thank You for loving me without conditions. Nothing compares to You! Please transform me and change me. I want to fall so in love with You that it transforms the way I interact with others. Please shape me into someone who shines Your love in a broken world. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Do you have difficulty letting go of certain situations hindering the Potter from molding you? If so what barriers are prohibiting you? Do “You turn things upside down, as if the Potter was thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, “You did not make me”? Can the pot say to the Potter, “You know nothing”? (Isaiah 29:16)

Many years ago there were situations I could not release control to the Potter. After things worsen in my life, I quickly learned to use spiritual double deadbolt locksets to keep my mind far away from voices of the world. The locksets [the scriptures] blocked the creepers who sought to hinder me from sitting still to be molded and made in the image of the Potter.

I am reminded of a devotion that Sister Copeland sent me on July 26, 2021. It reads “I do what is mine to do and trust all will be well. Throughout my life I have learned there is a time to work and a time to rest, just as there is a time to speak and a time to listen.’

‘I remember this truth if I find myself working relentlessly to make something happen. There is a time for me to step back and exercise my faith and patience needed to give my efforts time to manifest. I trust this orderly process and let go and let GOD.’

‘I stop my attempts to control life knowing that the Divine is the very essence of life. I believe my highest good is on the way to me, and this makes it easier for me to be patient and trusting. I do my part and then I relax knowing the divine is in and through all things.” END OF DEVOTION

GOD has given us everything needed to make our calling and election sure. “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall” (2 Peter 1:10-21).

“This is what the LORD says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your GOD, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go” (Isaiah 48:17).

“Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the Potter; we are all the work of Your Hand. Do not be angry beyond measure, LORD; do not remember our sins forever. Oh, look on us, we pray, for we are all your people.” (Isaiah 64:8-9).
