Awake, My Soul And Be Revive!

“Awake, my glory! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing to You among the nations. For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, and your truth unto the clouds. Be exalted, O GOD, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth. (Psalm 57:8-11)

Thank you, Sister Copeland, for this beautiful devotion. “Upon awakening, I face a day filled with infinite possibilities. I open my senses to the world around me—its sights, sounds, aromas, textures, and flavors. My world feels new, full of promise and potential. I feel as though anything is possible.’

‘I feel this way too as I awaken on my spiritual journey. I embark upon my spiritual path anew and open myself to a new experience of GOD, free from old ideas and preconceived motions that no longer serve me. Unencumbered and freed from old ways of thinking and feeling.’

‘I wonder with an open mind, pray with an open heart, and feel my oneness with GOD anew. I am an awakened soul. I open myself to extraordinary insights and new perspectives, beginning this very moment.’” END OF DEVOTION

Can you relate to the words in the above referenced devotion? Have you had such an awakening despite the increase of ungodliness in the world? Do you feel that your spiritual journey needs reviving with an array full of promises and potential?

Through spiritual vision, I have awaken from sleep of discouragement by the things happening in our nations. I acknowledge that my conscience must be clear to focus more on godliness rather than focusing on ungodliness. This would be somewhat difficult without a clear conscience.

In my spiritual awakening, I came to the conclusion that my responsibilities are leading others towards salvation with sharing the Plan of Salvation outlined in the Gospel of Jesus. I am to continue in obedience to GOD in hope of having enough of His grace to hear “Well done my good and faithful servant….”

Sometimes, we forgot ourselves and our souls for putting too much efforts in what we are not authorize to do. We cannot save anyone!

The world’s theme is less of GOD and more of worldly pleasures. We want power! We want positions! We want properties! We want repackaged ideologies! We want prestige! We want! We want! We want! We want many of the world’s toys that we cannot see our shipwrecked consciences and faith. (1 Timothy 1:19)

Agur had it right when he penned Proverb 30:7-15, “Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: Remove falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food allotted to me: Lest I be full and deny thee, and say Who is the LORD? Or lest I be poor and steal, and take the name of my GOD in vain….’

Agur continued saying “There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.

There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among me. The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough.’”

Can the Holy Spirit confirm that we have a clear conscience that utter truthfulness? (Romans 9:1)

Can the Holy Spirit confirm that we want to always live holy and be honorable in everything? (Hebrews 13:18)

Can the Holy Spirit confirm that we are aspiring to develop a mature conscience in the wholesome teachings of Jesus the Christ. (1 Timothy 6:3)

Can the Holy Spirit confirm that we are pursuing righteousness, pursuing a godly life, pursuing faith, love, perseverance, and pursuing gentleness? (1 Timothy 6:11)

Do you agree it would be wonderful if all believers stood in unity to fill the land with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith. Unfortunately, we often miss this point because we have gotten too entangled in meaningless and ungodly discussions that cannot get us from earth to glory. (1 Timothy 1:5-7)

I understand that sometimes we get fixated on people and the things happening in the world. However, we should turn our spiritual vision away from the world and turn our complaints into praise. Let us NOT awake early in the morning to begin our secular work day. When we focus on these things our minds are remove from GOD.

Instead, let us awake early in the morning to spend time with GOD giving Him our praise, our thanks, and glorifying Him with our minds, our bodies, our spirits and our souls; then we can turn our minds on the secular necessities. It should never come to secular matters versus spiritual matters.

The LORD is coming back any day now, will you be ready?
