We can learn much following the ants. “The ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer” (Proverb 30:25).

In Proverb 6:6, we are told to “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! Wow! The inspired Word of GOD tells us, His greatest creation, to consider ways of the ants and be wise.
Proverbs 6:7-11, “It has no commander, no overseer, or ruler yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.” GOD is our commander, are we storing, in our minds, His commandments?
The colony of ants are very well-organized, and constantly work together, even though each ant has a specific job (Ephesians 2:10); and they will defend and protect each other despite the cost.
I had my share of ant bites and perhaps you have too. If the ants sense threats they emerge from their dark place into the light to attack.
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command” (John 15:13). Can GOD call us His friend? Are we attacking threats of sin, or yielding to them?

“So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. Ants care for one another. Do we? (1 Corinthians 12:25)
“Not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another have the same mindset as Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:4-5). Ants look out for the interest of all ants in their colony. Do we?
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayers, All the believers were together and had everything in common (Acts 2:42,44). Ants fellowship with one another. Do we?
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour; If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). Ants build up together. Do we?

Ants are intentional and do not wander. Do we wander from GOD?
Ants communicate and do not assume. Do we assume what GOD meant instead of praying for wisdom and understanding?
Ants cooperate with friendliness. Do we cooperate with others in a friendly manner?
Ants are not lazy, nor slothful but plan ahead. What about us?
Ants are discipline, persistent, and work without dispute or division. What about us?
Ants are great planners and have incredible speed to get the job done? Do we?
Ants are hard workers and exemplify great teamwork. What about us?

FINAL THOUGHTS
“But be sure to fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things He has done for you. Yet if you persist in doing evil, both you and your king will perish.” (I Samuel 12:24-25).
Are we industrious workers in the Body of Christ? Are we as faithful to GOD, as the ants are to one another, and their queen? What other lessons should we learn from the ants?
Three amens🙏🏾🎉

Plus there is the saying, “Many hands make light the work.” If everybody does something, like the ants with their assorted tasks, any job gets done quicker. Good one. Many good things to consider.

My favorite animal is the ant. And the scriptures not only point out their industrious behavior, but state a fact that is not obvious – that they have no ruler. They just individually do what’s neede doing. They communuicate by exchanging food which has the pheronomes that communicate the needs of the colony. It would be nice that our carry-in meals would result in similar communications and responses.

They are excellent teachers whose unity in working together should send us a powerful message. It was pointed out how they attack and bite humans. My response was each time I was bitten by ants was when I became an apparent threat to them; otherwise, they mind their own business. Thank you for reading and commenting. Have a great day/night and remain safe.
