Let us therefore follow after things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. (Romans 14:19)
I wish current events in our nation were nightmares. Sadly, we wake up to the truth in some aspects evil is good and good is evil. I have no doubt all nations are watching how Satan is pulling strings of those who continue spreading division like an uncontrollable wildfire.
As I was going through Spiritual Mother Copeland’s devotions this one stood out due to current events. The title is Aim for Harmony. “Instead of arguing, let me compromise when the outcome will be peace [if not contrary to the Word]. When I am tempted to argue, to add to the cacophony of noise that drives you away, let a song of praise fill my thoughts.’
‘Let the melody wash over me until I remember that compromise is harmony, and harmony is worship. Let all my interactions be as harmonious as a symphony, so you are glorified and brought near.’”
During our current unharmonious times wolves have also brought their personal opinions into the LORD’s Body to cause divisiveness.
Remember in my previous blog title Enduring Pain and Suffering, I stated if you look only at my outer appearance you would think I am without health issues.
In like manner, we often make the same assumption when looking only at outward appearances of Christians. Matthew 7:15 tells us to watch for false prophets because they come to us in sheep’s clothing but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
Why was this said? So, we are vigilant and aware all Christians are not Saints. Jesus had to tell Peter, one of His apostles, in Luke 22:32 “But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fails not: and when thou are CONVERTED, strengthen thy brethren.”
The world is the world! How can you interact with GOD’s people to help build them up and cause harmony? We should aim for harmony and draw near to GOD.
“May the GOD who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind, and one voice, you may glorify the GOD and Father of our Lord Jesus the Christ. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you in order to bring praise to GOD. (Romans 15:5-6)
