Do we put as much effort in developing an authentic relationship with GOD as we do with human relationships?
How can we grow in a righteous and authentic relationship with our Heavenly Father after obeying the gospel? We must first be committed in keeping our minds filled with rich soil [commandments] from the Bible to cultivate spiritual growth. We must also exemplify ourselves as disciples following in the footsteps of Jesus.
We must multiply in grace, righteousness, knowledge, wisdom and understanding to diligently learn about GOD beyond the surface. How? Studying to show ourselves approved unto GOD, a workman not ashamed and rightly divide the Word of Truth (II Timothy 2:15).
Connection! Connection! Connection! Connecting with GOD should be our daily priority. Jesus made time to be alone with the Father and we must withdraw from others to be alone with Him.
Communication is the key to open the door! This is crucial to sustaining our human relationships but more importantly in our spiritual relationship with our Heavenly Father in prayer through our mediator Jesus.
Commitment! Commitment! Commitment! Jesus showed His authentic commitment with losing His life to save ours. Our commitment should be shown in obedience to GOD.
The Bible emphasizes that we do not add to or take away from the Truth, nor should we be children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men, or in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting (Ephesians 4:14-17).
