THE PLANNER AND HIS PLAN and the planner and his plan

I have no doubt that many of us spared no expense on our wedding. As for some of us brides, we carefully selected the perfect dress without looking at the price tag. We purchased it regardless of future debt if not paid in full at the time of purchase. Everything had to be planned perfectly leaving no room for error. We hired wedding planners, caters and photographers to caption every moment for our anticipated day.

Christians are married to Christ but sadly our human nature leaves much room to sin against Him. I understand following the Plan of Salvation on our spiritual journey is not easy. However, we have the gift of the Holy Spirit to comfort us, and bring to remembrance, the Word of God for strength to flee from the devil’s schemes. Satan’s objective is for us to choose to indulge in sinful acts instead of bearing fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:16-25).

We must not remove the whole armor of God while striving for perfection in our relationship with Him. Yes, we wrestle against principalities, against powers, and against the rulers of the darkness of this world as well as against spiritual wickedness in high places. It is possible to resist if we obey instructions to put on the whole armour of God to withstand in the evil days. (Hebrews 6:11-13)

It is established in I Samuel 15:29; Psalm 89:34-35; Numbers 23:19 and Hebrews 6:18 that God cannot lie. Therefore, we must believe there are no temptation above that we are able to stand and there will be ways to escape (I Corinthians 10:13).

There is no time to debate whose right or wrong! As free moral agents, the choice is ours alone to make with the understanding that God and the devil cannot be loved and served simultaneously. We either must strive for perfection leading to eternity in Heaven with THE PLANNER and HIS PLAN of Salvation; or in unrighteousness with the planner, the devil, and his plan to eternal Damnation.

FINAL THOUGHT

God took our flaws and spared no expense with His Son’s life. His Son’s Blood afforded us the most perfect and elegant dress of salvation for our soul.

Just like we perfectly planned our wedding day, God perfectly planned Judgment Day leaving no room for excuses. We owed Him a debt that can never be repaid. We must not allow the evil planner to convince us that our sins and past life are bigger than God’s forgiveness and His willingness to use us (Philippians 3:13-15 and Isaiah 43:18-19).

TODAY’S DEVOTION FROM SISTER COPELAND (Unimaginable Plans)

“We don’t know much about Mary, but the culture of the day suggests that this resident of the small town of Nazareth was young, and her offering of pigeons when Jesus was dedicated at the temple implies that she was probably poor. We can imagine that Mary was thankful for her husband-to-be, a hard-working and respectable man of God name Joseph. Maybe her thoughts and prayers were of grateful anticipation of all that awaited her as a wife and mother.

Yet the God who knows hearts had bigger plans for Mary; He chose her to be the mother of His Son. He knew that she would yield her life to His plan–as we see in her song of praise (Luke 1:46-55). God knew Mary would raise Jesus with wisdom and grace and teach Him all she knew about the One true God and Scripture. Such traits meant much more to God thank Mary’s age, social status, or financial situation. All that mattered to Him was her heart. Thankfully, God’s priorities haven’t changed.

Remember with gratitude that God knows your heart for Him as He knew Mary’s, and He plans amazing things for you as well. Thank you, Lord, for stepping into our ordinary days and surprising us with unimaginable plans!” END OF DEVOTION
