Spiritual Purification & Inner Strength!

Jesus is my Lord, my Savior and Lover of my soul. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.” –John 15:13-14

Is your mind in a quiet place? If not, why not? Do you recognize symptoms when your spiritual journey is being invaded by impurities and contaminates?

Do you feel as though your life is on an emotional roller coaster? Do you feel suffocated by social media, news outlets and people who serves no purpose on your spiritual journey? If so, how do you proceed to remove these impurities and contaminates?

What is your definition of spiritual awakening and spiritual purification? Have you ever taken your mind to a quiet place for spiritual purification?

By now everyone knows Sister Copeland is the spiritual mother of the Woods family, and is actively involved in our lives. Her devotional received today align with my spiritual purification journey. The devotion is titled “I persevere with the strength of Spirit within me;” and it reads “’In the Bible story of David and Goliath, David battles Goliath the giant. Despite his youth and inexperience, David declines Saul’s armor and bravely confronts the giant. Goliath has much greater physical strength, but David defeats him handily by drawing upon his God-given strength.’

Titus 2

The devotional continues ‘Like David, I may face a giant challenge that appears impossible to overcome. Yet each challenge is a chance for me to use my strength. Through prayers, meditation and the use of affirmations, I draw upon my inner strength and face the world with fortitude. No matter the size of the giant that I face, I can persevere because I have the strength of Spirit within me.”’ David said, “The Lord, who saved me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, will save me from the hand of this Philistine.” So, Saul said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you!” (I Samuel 17:37)

In the past week, I had much time to honestly examine my spiritual journey to filter out unnecessary distractions. When my mind was in a quiet place, I discovered there are still impurities and contaminates that must be removed. Therefore, I admitted myself into the Bible Hospital to be in tune with the lover of my soul. After resting my mind and body in deeper meditation; my inner strength was restored to face truth and see impurities and contaminates that must be filter from my mind and out of my life.

So, with my renewed inner strength, I was discharged from the Bible Hospital with diagnosis to say goodbye to noises of Satan and his earthly employees that do his evil bidding. My spiritual senses have been awakened to filter impurities and focus on my spirit assignment sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ around the globe.

The Bible is our filter, and solitude is a precious gift that we should use to not be consume with unnecessary demands and people who are not needed on our spiritual journey.  Silence in the midst of communing with the Lord is crucial. I am so thankful that my brain has been washed with God’s commandments. Very refreshing!

What or who is distracting you from your spiritual journey? Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. –John 11:25-27. What about you? Do you believe the lover of your soul hears your humble plea?

“Lover of my soul, hear my humble plea, make your way straight before me. Lord take complete control because I find I am on my knees far too many times for the same things. I need your guidance to be righteous. Lord have not just part but all of me! Give unto me an undivided heart that I may fear your name. Ruler of my life it is you I want to please.” –Destiny Metropolita.

Impurities and contaminates are distractions but thank God the Bible Hospital is open 24/7, 365 days a year with Jesus, the only mediator between God and mankind, on the main line (I Timothy 2:5). He is willing and able to hear and heal if we call Him through the prayer line. Life is great when pages of the Bible are turned and scriptures are applied to our life. At all cost, boundaries must be set to protect our transformed mind.

How important is it to perform self-examination to ensure motivation, behavior and passion are pleasing to God? Physical medical examination is important to maintain health of our body. Spiritual examination is imperative to maintain health of our soul; therefore, we should use spiritual filters to eliminate unnecessary distractions and not trust our own diagnosis!

Silence in its proper perspective is golden! Our soul is priceless and must maintain spiritual hydration to hear “Go in peace. Your journey has the LORD’s approval.” (Judges 18:6)

  2. Sometimes we get attracted to the impurities and distractions because we are week to avoid those impurities. That doesn’t mean we dont have inner strength but we need to follow your writing and we will be able to make our inner self disciplined.

    1. Sometimes we get distracted by so many noises in our mind and need to step away from everything and everyone to be still and commune with the Lord. It is very important to know the symptoms before impurities become chronic in our lives. Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts.

  3. I make it a practice to filter everything through the Word of God and if it does not line up with the Bible, it is not truth and does not belong in the life of the believer. Time is too short spend on things that do not count for the kingdom. God bless you, Tangie!

  4. Tangie, I love your idea of checking into the Bible Hospital! Praise God He doesn’t mind how many times we admit ourselves, for a transfusion of strength, hope, comfort, or peace. Whatever we need, it’s available (Psalm 119:24, 93, 105, 147, 165)–24/7, just as you say! P.S. Thank you very much for becoming a follower of my blog, From the Inside Out.
