The Mastermind of Evil

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. — Ephesians 6:10-17

Satan’s tactics are actions, schemes and strategies carefully planned to achieve a specific end of eternal damnation for us. I agree with Kim’s observation of Satan as the mastermind behind all evil. In my opinion, COVID-19 is the result of mankind stirring up God’s anger and wrath due to disobedience to His Word. We are ordered to do exactly what was stated below in Isaiah 26:20-21…

“Go, my people, enter your rooms [houses] and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while [stay inside] until His wrath has passed by. See, the LORD is coming out of His dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose [report many deaths] the blood shed on it; the earth will conceal its slain no longer.”

Unfortunately, during the world’s crisis perhaps some Christians have lost their faith in God and fallen to Satan’s schemes and returned to the world like Demas.

For Demas, because he loved this world, has deserted me and has gone to Thessalonica. II Timothy 4:10

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, Look! This is something new?” It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time. No one remembers the former generations, and even those yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow them. Ecclesiastes 1:9-11

Satan will do anything and will use anyone to turn our minds away from the Lord. For example, I do not complain about my health issues but always stay in prayer for relief to continue serving the Lord in Spirit and in Truth without distractions from others or my health. Pain management spine injections follow up appointment was several days ago and was told my MRI also showed arthritis and scar tissue in my spine. If injections wear off within three month the nerves must be burned. If injections last longer than three months I can continue getting them until they wear off within three months.

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of suffering. I Peter 5:8-9

Just for a very brief moment I asked “What else could possibly happen to my body?” I immediately thought this is not a question to ask God and understood the mastermind of evil was trying to manipulate my belief from God’s ability to heal if He chooses to do so.

That is why, for Christ’s sake, delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, and in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. II Corinthians 12:10

God sustains my life and I am thankful for each day He allows me to live, with or without pain. The mastermind of evil knows I will continue submitting to God’s Word. Satan, I resist your tactic trying to manipulate my mind. I maintain connection with God through Jesus Christ and will not be a double-minded Christian. There is still much work for me to do as a disciple of Jesus Christ; as well as being here for my husband, our children and granddaughter. (James 4:7-8)

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil; he shall preserve thy soul The LORD shall preserve thy going about and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. — Psalm 121:1-8

I encourage you to maintain awareness of the mastermind’s tactics, schemes and strategies and remember he is no match against the wrath and power of God.
